Shawna grew up in Ormond Beach, Fl and attended Seabreeze HighSchool and Daytona State where she received her Bachelor’s degree. She knew her passion for helping people at a young age. After high school she worked as a certified nursing assistant/home health aide until she started her family. For the last 11 years she worked for Zimmer/Biomet as a cardiothoracic surgical device sales specialist. She helped surgeons and their staff learn the Sternalock system for closing the sternum after open heart surgeries.  This system has proven outcomes for patients. 
Shawna had Joe assist her with her own insurance needs for several years. She saw first hand how much he could help people find insurance when they did not think they could get it. I realized this is a field that can help change peoples lives. This was then the next chapter in her life she knew she wanted to pursue. 

Her passion for helping people continued as she took this position with Shawn E. Brown Insurance.
