Anthony Mercado – Licensed Independent Broker

Anthony Mercado was born in Bellaire, Ohio into a military family. Growing up, he frequently moved, meeting new people and adapting to new environments, but never truly establishing long-term roots. After his father retired in Tampa, Anthony moved to Daytona Beach at age 21, where he planted his roots and started a family.

While raising two children, Anthony built a career in the hospitality industry, working his way up from bartender to management. Driven by curiosity and creativity, he also explored entrepreneurial avenues, making and selling hot sauces, jerky, and offering catering services.

Seeking a meaningful career change, Anthony set his sights on the health insurance field. With encouragement and guidance from longtime hockey friend Shawn Brown, he became a licensed Health Insurance Broker. Today, Anthony takes great pride in connecting with clients and ensuring they feel secure, supported, and properly covered for life’s unexpected challenges.

Outside of his work, Anthony enjoys cooking, playing hockey, and hosting gatherings with family and friends. Family is especially important to him, and that same care extends to his clients—helping them protect what matters most.
