Douglas Horchler was born in Virginia Beach, VA. He graduated from Longwood University with a B.S. in Biological Sciences in 2008. He then graduated from Marshall University in 2010 with a M.S. in Ecology. For several years he worked as a corporate biologist for a major coal company in West Virginia, but his love for coastal town living eventually led him to Charleston, SC. He started a small home renovation company in 2016 and enjoys building custom designs for his clients. His love of helping others eventually led him to become an agent for Shawn E Brown Insurance. He finds helping people navigate the often-complex healthcare system extremely rewarding and noble work! In his off time, he can be found playing hockey, helping friends with home improvements, and spending time with his trusty Australian Cattle Dog Winnie.
